HT John Proffitt - We live we die - so what? So what! Our only chance is to stand for something

This exceptional image of the time of year and of the time of Fred and my lives is by my good buddy Fred First who lives in deepest rural West Virginia.

Fred has this "eye" - I skim the natural world - But Fred sees this kind of beauty all the time.

This image captures also my life right now. The end is in sight but I feel full of light. Nothing gets the juices going as the certainty that there is little time left.

Maybe this is why "Youth is wasted on the Young"? For when I was 20, I was immortal.

The days are long but life is short.
